Elliot Jackson is a designer, developer, and technical writer, whose skill set includes both user interface and user experience design as well as iOS and Web development.

He currently runs In the Field, a one-man product studio, but prior to that, Elliot worked at Realmac Software, a renowned development studio that’s been a staple of the industry since it opened its doors in 2002.

Over the course of his years there, Elliot worked with Realmac’s founder / creative director, its product manager, and a host of engineers and QA people on many projects, the most well known of which are: Clear, a todo app used by over 2.5 million people; RapidWeaver, a very popular website builder for the Mac; and Ember, a Mac app that made it easy to capture and organise the images that inspire you. He also worked on the Clear for Product Red collaboration Realmac did with Apple, and was nominated for .NET Magazine’s Young Designer of the Year award in 2013.

Away from the computer, Elliot plays in the back row for his local rugby team, enjoys weightlifting, and spends an inordinate amount of time looking for tennis balls his Springer Spaniels have lost.
